Join Beccy Smith, and compassionate owner Ally in this detailed 2 part online equine podiatry consult recording featuring Allys 7 year old Fell pony mare Flora, who has suspected proximal suspensory desmopathy (PSD) and a history of stifle issues which often accompany low or negative hind hoof P3 angles (NPLA) and associated hind limb lameness and pathology.

Ally describes Flora as "not happy to be ridden at the moment" despite having the all clear on troubling stifle issues 2 years ago. Ally has consulted with her vet, and they suspect she is experiencing pain in her hind limb suspensories and recommend further investigation for this.
Ally also consulted with Equine Physiotherapist and Trauma Informed Horse Trainer Yasmin Stuart who recommended an online consult with Holistic Equine as she suspected low or negative plantar P3 angles were present and involved - something which is common with hind limb pathology and lameness, but not often recognised by vets and hoof care professionals.
The documentation in the online consult recording was provided by her current hoof care provider, and Ally is looking for advice for her team about her hoof morphology, to better identify if there is room for improvement, as well as a plan to help Flora feel more comfortable and hopefully return to previous ridden activities.
