THE WOOD HORSE
The wood horse is strong and muscular, a real athlete who excels in competition. Stamina, courage and his bold nature make him an excellent candidate for Eventing, XC and endurance. A natural jumper who loves a physical and mental challenge, this horse is not suitable for the novice. The wood horse is an independent personality who is likely to test out a new rider and will easily take charge if there is not enough direction. This horse dislikes confinement and limited turnout, strict schooling regime and gadgets would all have detrimental effects on his stress levels causing him to be seen as inflexible and difficult (NB all horses would experience stress with limited turnout and gadgets etc, but the wood horse would be very clear about the effects on him). This horse loves the spring and it is his time of year.

Signs of imbalance: Aggression / Over bearing / Dominant / Bolshy / Lashes out / Cracked brittle hooves / Tendon problems / Tension / Cysts / Tumours / muscle Spasm / Rigidity / Reluctance to go forward / Depression / Anxiety
