THE WATER HORSE
Signs of imbalance: Weaving / poor teeth and gums / Bladder problems / Noise sensitivity / Fears and phobias / Depressed / Lack of appetite / Irritability / Lethargy / Excessive thirst / lacking in confidence
Water horses can be any horse but are commonly Welsh Section D's, Fresiens, TBX (normally with something heavier) and some native breeds
The water horse usually has a luxurious mane and tail and is strong boned. Water horses can be quiet and introspective by nature; although they also tend to be sociable and good tempered enjoying companionship and contact. In balance this horse is calm but fear is a sign of a water imbalance and this may lead to spooking or nappy behaviour. Water horses with an imbalance may also crave salt and eat mineral licks or salt blocks rather than just take what the body needs. The Water element is associated with the bladder and kidney meridians, which began and end on the hind legs and so problems in the back end of a horse can be indicative on a water imbalance. Bladder is a long postural meridian and may be adversely affected by ill-fitting tack etc.
